My little corner of the Internet

Hello, World!

Hello there! It seems you’ve found your way to my little corner of the internet!

I’m part of the first cohort of an Applied Data Science course at college, and there’re plans to make a blog that we can all contribute to. Since I’m going to be getting into the habit of writing blog posts, and I’ve had this domain lying around since 2012, I’ve decided to start a blog here. I’m probably going to post about various types of media that I consume and tech that I interact with. Speaking of, instead of installing something like WordPress to make this blog, I decided to go with a Static Site Generator. I looked around a bit and ended up settling on Hugo. It’s written in Go, which I’m vaguely familiar with, and licensed under an Apache 2.0 license. As of writing, I’ve decided to go with the Vitae theme, though I’m still considering changing it. In addition, to write this, I’m using ox-hugo for Emacs, as I quite enjoy org-mode and would like to work with it as much as possible.

Anyway, I don’t really have much more to say, so enjoy a picture of a duck that I took.
